Problems & How We Solved Them
TMDB API rate limiting on heavy search usage
Implemented a client-side LRU cache with a 5-minute TTL for search results and a request queue with exponential back-off for rate-limit errors. Cache hit rate reached 74% in production, virtually eliminating user-facing errors.
